Can Migraines Be Controlled?

Can migraines be controlled? In most cases, YES! The pain of migraines is so horrible that, to many, it seems almost impossible to believe that they are controllable. How could something so painful be controlled simply by bringing the nervous system back into balance... back to “homeostasis”?

To understand how it is possible to control your headaches, let me explain a bit about the physiology of migraine headaches and muscle tension headaches. In working with hundreds of sufferers over the years, I have found that all migraineurs have high muscle tension and, therefore, both issues must be addressed. Migraines have often been called “vascular” headaches. In other words, they have to do with the blood flow through the arteries. When the arteries over-dilate (open up too much), after having been constricted, the blood goes throbbing to the eyes and brain, causing these debilitating headaches. Muscle tension headaches, on the other hand, are caused by the muscles in the shoulders, neck, head, and face, tightening up, thereby causing the pain of these headaches.

Both types of headaches can be brought under control by controlling one's autonomic (or “automatic”) nervous system. This is the part of the nervous system that is usually not consciously controlled. For example, you do not usually consciously control your heart rate, but it you had a fast heart rate, or an irregular heart rate, I could teach you how to control that. I simply attach instruments to your body to measure certain body functions, and, with the feedback on the computer, I would coach you to control the readings. You are getting biological feedback, or “biofeedback” for short, on the screen.

Other things that normally are not consciously controlled include respiration, circulation, blood pressure, brain waves, muscle tension, digestion, sweat gland activity, and much more. Learning how to control the inner functionings of the body, and mind, is enormously empowering to people. People learn how to create health and well-being in their bodies, and these are skills they use, and benefit from, for the rest of their lives. It is so much fun to do!

You have likely heard of the “fight or flight” response. This is when the body goes into high gear after confronted with a real, or perceived, threat or danger. The body has this mechanism to protect itself. All animals have this. Centuries ago our dangers were more physical. We had to protect ourselves from lions, bears and other tribes. Adrenaline would go into the blood stream and give us super strength. This is a great thing in times of emergencies. The problem, nowadays, is that most people run on adrenaline way too much. Stress has become a global epidemic. And, most of our stressors now are psychological stressors so the tension does not get released from the body by running or fleeing. It is often held in.

Back to migraines! There are two things that happen in the body during the fight or flight response that contribute to migraines. First, all animals (including human animals) have an unconscious instinct to protect the throat when they perceive danger or stress. This is because animals are usually attacked at the throat. So, human animals tighten in the neck and shoulders first when they experience stress. This excess muscle tension can create muscle tension headaches and, additionally, contributes to the migraines by crimping the arteries.

Another thing that happens, to people who get migraines, is that their arteries constrict when they experience stress. The body unconsciously does this because if you were to be attacked, or cut, you would bleed less if the arteries were constricted. It is, again, the fight or flight response kicking in. Interestingly, the migraine does not occur when the person is under stress. It happens after the stress is over (usually). This is why the migraine may come on in the middle of the night, the first day of the weekend, or at the beginning of vacation. So, the muscle tension headaches occur when the person is under stress and the migraines occur when the person begins to relax.

People with migraines tend to have cold hands and feet. I teach them how to consciously warm their hands and feet; thereby opening, or dilating, their arteries. They need to keep their arteries dilated in order to prevent the migraines from occurring. I simply get a temperature reading on the surface of their skin. If their arteries are dilated I will see a reading of 93 degrees, or higher, on the surface. I train them how to keep their arteries dilated in order to prevent the migraines from occurring. Often when I start sessions with someone, their surface skin temperature will be in the low 80's. That is a lot of constriction!

Most of the people I work with are on a lot of medications when they first come. The triptans, such as Imitrex or Maxalt, cause the arteries to constrict. These medications are taken as the migraine is coming on to slow it down. Sometimes people crave caffeine when they feel a migraine coming on, for the same reason. The problem, then, is that rebound headaches can occur. In other words, the medications will constrict the arteries, giving temporary relief, but then when the arteries open up as the medication wears off, another migraine often occurs. Then the headaches get worse and worse as time goes on. Sometimes people get to the point where they have chronic daily headaches from medication overuse. The best thing is to learn how to control your nervous system as soon as possible so you don't get into this trap. Think of the medications as being a temporary solution while you take control.

When working with migraine sufferers, I first teach them some general skills for bringing their nervous system into balance (such as proper breathing, deep relaxation of the body and mind, imagery). The Wild Divine is, of course, a wonderful way for patients to practice general biofeedback skills at home. Then, I teach them to bring certain muscles to “normal tension”. Every muscle has a normal level of tension that it should be at and it is measured in microvolts. I teach my patients how to bring their shoulder, neck, forehead, and sometimes the jaw muscles, to normal tension. Then, I teach them how to use their mind to help eliminate stress from their nervous system. Since every thought creates both a chemical change in the body and an electrical change in the nervous system, working with the mind is critical. Finally, I end the training with teaching them to dilate their arteries.

Coping with Migraine

Claims of a “Cure”

I was recently presented with a dilemma here on Free my Brain. I want to encourage dialog and exchange of ideas, but I don’t intend to provide an open marketplace for sale of migraine “cures.” (Though I will gladly support and even promote helpful products and services.) Migraine is a complex, genetically based, neurological disease. The frequency and severity of migraines vary enormously from person to person; so do the number and complexity of triggers and other contributing factors. What we know now is that this is a neurological disorder, a differently ordered nervous system, if you will, which has existed throughout human history. Like many congenital conditions, there may have been a valid evolutionary reason for this mutation at one point. Maybe migraineurs were the human barometers, predicting disastrous weather changes for primitive societies. I had fun speculating on the evolutionary basis of migraine in the post Our Ancestress: A Fable.

I have heard from many people who have done just one thing and their migraines have gone away. To them I can only say mazel tov! (Congratulations!) Here is a bouquet of flowers to celebrate! For some it is eliminating just one trigger. For others it is a particular nutritional supplement, a practice of meditation, regular exercise, a medication, a surgery, pregnancy, menopause, a life or lifestyle change. I don’t know if there are statistics on how many migraineurs find relief from just one thing. I do know there are large numbers of us out here who need to find a combination of factors to manage and control our migraines. Here is a bouquet of flowers to console us! There is no “cure” for a genetically based neurological condition, any more than there is a “cure” for my red hair and green eyes. (Well, another 15 - 20 years may pretty well eliminate the red hair.)

A great place for some very basic facts and information about Migraine is the recent quiz at My Migraine Connection: Dispelling Migraine Myths. There is much we can do. For most of us, we can reduce our migraines significantly. You have probably heard me say before that I have reduced my own migraine frequency by about 50% through use of abortive medications, supplements, trigger avoidance, relaxation and meditation, and lifestyle changes.

Someone submitted a comment to one of my posts stating that

1) Migraine isn’t a disease;
2) there is a cure for Migraine “within us;”
3) he had over 20 years of migraines which are now gone; and
4) you can “retrain” yourself so you have no more migraines;

he then went on to promote his methods. I am genuinely happy for the commenter that his migraines are gone. I am certainly curious about his methods, and glad that he wants to help others. I don’t mean to suggest he had any but the best motives. But I am wary of anyone’s claim to have a cure. After some deliberation, I decided not to publish the comment and link.

There are two ways to look at “retraining.” A nervous system which can be easily triggered into a Migraine attack can be viewed as an over-excitable or hyper-reactive nervous system. Regular practice of meditation and relaxation can help us reduce the excitability of our nervous systems. Note that this is not a “cure;” it is a supportive exercise or practice which can strengthen our system’s ability to resist triggers. You could call this “retraining.”

But there is another view of retraining which comes from an idea that Migraine disease is psychologically generated. It is not. It is a real, physical condition. It is no more psychological than epilepsy or scoliosis.
I view with rage books like Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life” which suggest that right thinking can solve all our medical problems. She suggests that “Migraine headaches are created by people who want to be perfect and who create a lot of pressure on themselves. A lot of suppressed anger is involved…”

And so, if we work like crazy in therapy, meditate, recite mantras and do whatever highly subjective steps Hay seems to think will enable us to let go of the anger and pressure, if we do all that and we still have Migraines, then what? We failed? It’s like telling someone the devil is causing their Migraines and they just have to really believe in God. “I do believe!” “If you really believed the devil would leave you and your Migraines would be gone!” “But I really do believe…” It’s just a very sneaky way of blaming the victim!

I wish we could do a scientific study of people who want to be perfect and who put pressure on themselves. In the first place I bet you that’s at least 75% of the population. And I bet you dollars to donuts that 12% of all the perfectionists would turn out to have Migraine disease. And I bet that 12% of all the non-perfectionists would have Migraine disease too. What’s the incidence of Migraine disease in the general population? 12%! I think you get my point.

I have been told that if I only distinguished the beliefs from my past that were making me have Migraines, they would disappear.
I will admit I tried to do that. Like anyone else, I have a past and beliefs were formed in it! Some of those beliefs are limiting to me. In a life of nearly half a century, with plenty of self-help, support groups, personal development courses, and therapy, I think I’ve managed to identify most of those beliefs. So why am I not cured of Migraines? Is it my fault? Or, wait, could it be that I have a genetically based, incurable neurological condition? Hmmm… Which is the more logical conclusion? And which is more empowering?

For me, the answer is clear. I am 49, a woman, 5′2″, a redhead, a migraineur. These are facts. I get choices about what I do with those facts. I am choosing to vigorously pursue better and better Migraine management. I am not wasting my mental or emotional energy on “cures.” Or at least I won’t, once I’m done with this rant!

Curing is good for meats, cheeses, wines, paints… Maybe our heads don’t need it?

How to Eliminate Chronic Migraines

2 Little-Known Methods

To be in the category of chronic, headaches will need to have been present for at least three months and experienced no less than 15 times throughout each of these months. If they happen less regularly than this they're called episodic. A typical migraine will be characterized by a moderate to severe pounding pain that occurs on one side of the head with the symptoms increasing during vigorous activity. Accompanying the throbbing can be nausea, vomiting, increased sensitivity to bright lights, and other symptoms. Additionally, visible disturbances, known as auras, are regularly experienced by migraine sufferers.

There are many ways to prevent migraine headaches that do not require the use of pain killers. Nevertheless, what might work for one individual might not work for another. In view of the fact that the majority of natural methods are harmless it makes sense to try different remedies until a successful one is discovered. Below are 2 methods you may not be aware of which have shown good results in eliminating chronic migraines in some individuals.

1 - Filtered water can remove migraine-causing chemical substances

Chronic migraine headaches might be caused by water in 2 ways. First, not ingesting enough water can result in dehydration which may trigger symptoms. And second, chemical substances within the water may be the reason for migraine headaches in some people.

To cure dehydration it's a straightforward matter of ingesting more water on a day by day basis. Each individual is different and will require differing amounts of water for maximum well being. Even though 64 ounces might be an average quantity, littler people might require less and larger people might require more.

Chemical compounds in tap water, particularly nitrates, may cause persistent headaches. Nitrates are inorganic chemical substances which are found just about everywhere including the ocean, freshwater, soil and dirt, and air. Excessive nitrate levels are often found in ordinary faucet water and may trigger chronic migraines.

So how do excessive amounts of nitrates enter the drinking water? The most important sources are items that contain animal manure including fertilizers and sewage. Removing them from drinking water is as easy as using a filter. Have your tap water tested for nitrates. If it includes excessive amounts of nitrates it's best to get a water filter that will remove them. You need to understand there could also be other chemical substances in water that may trigger migraine pain or other health problems, so using a filter could be helpful even if the nitrate level is in a nontoxic limit.

2 - Fish oils might help eradicate the headache symptoms

Omega 3 is an important fatty acid that is found in lots of different kinds of fish including tuna and salmon. Recent scientific studies are showing that fish oils that have omega 3 could cut back the frequency and duration of migraine headaches in some individuals. Seeing as this research is still ongoing the general society is unaware of the possible advantages of this important fatty acid.

If you wish to get the greatest benefit from fish oils you will need to obtain it in generous doses. This means you can't simply consume fish every so often, but need to take a nutritional supplement on a day by day basis.

Salmon is a greater source of fish oil since it's usually cleaner than other types of fish. When purchasing omega 3, be sure you get salmon fish oil that is certified as being free from all pesticides, toxins, or heavy metals.

Are you psychic? I mostly wanted to get your attention with that question. But there is another reason I used it as well. The word psychic really repels some people. There are a lot of negative beliefs about people who are "psychics" like they are fake, unstable, weird, scam artists, etc. Psychic ability can be misused as can any other ability. Intuition is your sixth sense and your most important one - It transcends your other senses and includes information from all of your senses, all you have ever learned, plus wisdom and guidance from sources you are not even be aware of.

Intuition is also an experience that almost always has a physical component to it. Sometimes intuition comes as a hunch, or a gut feeling about something. I get what I call "niggles," little niggles that are ever so gently pulling me toward something. Niggles tend to keep coming back for awhile, while a hunch may be of the moment. Other experiences may be a tickle in your throat or some sensation in your body - an inner knowing is felt. You might also notice your energy increasing or decreasing, feel as if you are opening up or shutting down. All of these experiences are telling you something, offering wisdom and guidance in some direction.

And intuition is a skill. It is a skill in that it gets stronger the more you use it. Using intuition means listening to it and following its guidance. This next statement is important: Intuition is not supposed to be reasonable. So it's really best to simply go with it, take some action on it without trying to figure it out. Is Psychic Ability A Gift?

Psychic ability is as natural as giving birth to a child; this "ability" has been around for centuries. It is a part of who we are and it is downright pitiful that it is looked down upon in today's society so badly. According to some religious cultures, those with certain psychic abilities are to be looked at as "evil" or "demonic", this is not always true. It is what we do with our gift that causes it to be either negative or positive, but of course, if you go around trying to scare people with it and make it out to be something negative, then it will be. Or if you claim to be a "psychic" and are just taking people's money while feeding them a bunch of hog wash, then yes, it is evil.

Overall, psychic ability is a part of our spiritual selves, the more spiritual we are, the more advanced the ability.

However, just as some people are more spiritually advanced than others, so will their abilities be as well? It is true that little children can have this ability at a very young age because they are not yet aware of all of the controversy that surrounds it. Parents and other authority figures will sometimes try to make a child feel ashamed for having such a gift, causing them to think negatively about it, and eventually just shut it out.

Psychic ability has been given a bad name, how could something as natural as sleeping and dreaming be frowned upon so badly? If you have it and it is developed, great. I and if you do not feel that you have advanced your abilities, then all you have to focus on is becoming more spiritually minded.

So, is psychic ability a gift? The answer is yes, and it is available to anyone that wants it. If you are interested in developing your psychic abilities more, then all you have to do is focus. Start by cleaning out your life; get rid of all the negative things that hold you back in everyday living. Throw out old pictures of ex's, get rid of old magazines and books that you no longer need, give away the clothes that you do not wear, you are going to have to get rid of all of your clutter. This means anything that could interfere with developing your skill. Next, you will need to clean out a space to have meditation time, meditating will allow you to clear your mind, so that you might be able to become more receptive to your spiritual energies. Try doing this at least 2 to 3 times a week and you will have enhanced your psychic ability in no time at all.

So remember not to look at having psychic ability as a negative thing. Think of it as more of a part of who you are; it is yours for the taking. Choosing to develop it will be your decision and do not be afraid if you start to have slight visions about things, dreams, etc. Embrace these things in a positive light, for they are your specific spiritual gifts.

The practiced magician doesn’t focus on a specific item to bring happiness. He decides what he wants first. If you want money, don’t focus on winning the lottery simply focus on the amount of money you need. You may not receive it all at once but suddenly you’ll start to see bits of money coming into your life unexpectedly. Maybe you’ll find money in an old jacket pocket, coins on the street, a loan repaid you forgot about or even a raise at work. When this happens, you need to be thankful and understand that this is part of the process of achieving your desire.

You can use incantations, magical dust, candles or any type of ritual to perform magic. If you include body movement, it also stimulates all the cells to remember the spell, but they are indeed just props. Like writing a goal, these are ways to cement the action into your mind. The incantation and ritual also helps the mind of the practitioner to form a visual of the action and confirm the process with the belief system. The use of meditation, yoga or any other method that allows your mind to focus allows you to quiet the mind and meet the Holy Guardian Angel, in New Age thinking, the higher self. Just as in all art forms from Tai Chi to Yoga, the higher self has contact with the universe and infinite information and power.

While some say that the spells only work because the recipient of the spell changes their thinking and actions, not all results come from people that know of the spell. This is because the information goes into the universal mind that connects all people. Many of the actions of the practice use methods and beliefs closely related to those of other belief systems created thousands of miles away in civilizations that never had contact with the creators of magick. It makes you stop and think a bit. Has scientific knowledge wiped out our ability to use energy we’ve always possessed? Have we always had the power, but because of poor choices, lack of belief or asking for the wrong thing, not been able to access it?

Magick varies from the ultimate good to the black arts. Black magick isn’t for the good of humanity. This powerful tool brings only unhappiness and bad luck to the person that receives the stinging end of the spell and frequently to those that cast the spell. Remember, like attracts like, so if your intent is harmful, it may return seven fold. Somewhere between the two is the happy medium, the grey arts. This uses magick for self-improvement of physical circumstance.

Regardless of the method used, whether high physical activity while focusing on the goal or meditation, the ritual is only important as a prop and method of achieving that focus. The ability to perform miracles in your life is available to all that believe and ask.

If you don’t believe in psychic power and the power of the mind and will, then you’ve never witnessed a master of Qigong. The masters can do amazing feats. Many scientists have recorded then and attempt to explain how they occur. Masters of the art of Qigong harness their energy and make it stronger. Some believe that it encourages neural pathways to develop between the right and left side of the brain. Scientists already know that one side controls the logical, the planning, the thinking side and the other controls the creative. It makes sense that creating the bridge would allow an increase in their energy force.

In the case of Qigong, practice does make perfect. It increases as the student learns to focus intently, build concentration and will. It uses body movements and meditation to do this. Depending on the area the master chooses to develop his skill, he may develop the ability to move objects, start fires, heal at close proximity or at a distance or develop other psychic powers. Many of these feats are recorded both in writing and on video. The practitioners didn’t demonstrate the abilities before they started their training. Studies on meditation show a change in brain patterns. As the person practicing meditation progresses and becomes more accomplished eventually all the brain pattern is the alpha wave. The alpha wave is the one that occurs when people learn the best and perform psychic acts.

Studies into quantum physics confirm the potential for psychic phenomena. The smallest particles are no longer the atom. They are smaller than the electron. These particles are moved throughout the atom with energy. They make a quantum leap from one shell to another and change the very structure of the matter where they exist. Consider someone that has the ability to focus energy and the desire to change a substance. Let us take a look at the Qigong master that heals. He focuses on the virus or diseased cells and uses his energy to change the matter into healthy cells. It is logical and feasible that this feat is possible.

In many of the Eastern practices like Qigong, a form of Tai Chi, the self needs to be quieted. Pride has no place in Qigong. The reason is twofold. Consider what the cave man might have thought of the airplane or car. He would believe it mystical, be frightened or consider it a new type of animal. We, however, are unimpressed since we know on some basic level how these methods of transportation are made. The automobile, for instance uses an engine to rotate the wheels and move it. It, however, would go nowhere if there weren’t some type of fuel to power the engine. It might be a gasoline or solar powered engine, but the fuel still makes the car move.

Today, the same might be true of psychic skills. Many see these abilities as something supernatural and yet, they are skills acquired like any other type of ability. Just like the automobile, even if the human form has all the necessary equipment to create them, the psychic abilities need a fuel to attain the higher level.

The fuel in most cases comes from the various techniques that those that have honed the powers learned through diligent practice. Each type of belief names the power and finds ways to harness and control it.

In yoga, the name of the power is prana. The basic prana comes into the body through breathing and circulates through the system with each breath. Another prana is the apana, which controls the elimination of waste. The udana controls the ability to create sound. The Samana controls digestion and metabolism. The final prana is the vyana, which has domain over the voluntary muscles. These energies, when controlled allow the yogi to hold dominion over his body.

In qi gong, the power is the chi. This ancient Chinese belief comes through Chinese mythology and the Yellow Emperor, Huang Di, that as legend explains, first discovered formalized the Chinese medicine. It was in the book, “Analects of Confucius” which was written after Confucius’ death in 479 B.C., where the term “Qi”, we call chi appeared first in writing. It is often called the natural energy of the universe and which gives life force and power to humans.

Just like the power for the motor of the automobile, if it’s not harnessed properly the vehicle will not move. If the motor receives the energy, but there is no working control mechanism, the vehicle again does not move but simply runs. If the control mechanism is in place and allows the vehicle to move, but there is no driver direction the vehicle or a driver is available but does not take the steering wheel, then the car moves out of control and may eventually crash and burn. This scenario is much like the power within each individual. If the person chooses not to take the wheel of their life, then the potential for a crash is great.

Learning not only to fill the body’s tank with the energy force but also controlling that force once it fills the body is what many of the ancient disciplines teach. These methodologies show the practitioners how to achieve many supernatural feats through the control of their life force and energy. It is through breathing exercises, the practice of quieting the mind and meditation that the student learns to increase the body’s energies so they have the ability to perform the extraordinary.

Tackle Your Panic And Anxiety Attacks

With the Right Way to Meditate!

There is no right way to meditate, no one thing that should be achieved, or particular way it should be done. Meditation practice should be comfortable and relaxing.

In order to have your body and mind primed for the best results from your meditation practice, it is important to consider the following:

• Don´t meditate on an empty stomach. If you´re hungry, give your body the fuel it needs. Bad habits is never the way to a clearer mind and healthier body.

• Meditation should be done in a comfortable position, in comfortable surroundings. You don´t have to sit with your legs crossed if this position is uncomfortable. Many men have tight groin muscles and hamstrings which make sitting this way uncomfortable. Sit in a chair and place your feet on the floor if this is more comfortable for you.

• At least as a beginner, it is important to meditate in the most peaceful environment you can create. Try to eliminate outside noises and distractions. Definitely turn the TV off. However, if there is still noise around you don´t worry about it. Take care of the sound you can control and free your worry about the rest.

• Meditation should be performed while sitting and an important part of meditating is correct posture. Sit with your spine straight, don´t slouch or hunch your shoulders over. Pull your shoulders back. So many people who sit at a desk all day and work at computers have hunched shoulders and find sitting with a straight back difficult.

• It is important, however, to get your back and spine in proper alignment. If you need help you can sit with your back against a wall or the back of the chair.

• Place your hands where they feel comfortable. Some people place them at their sides, on their knees or on their stomach. The important thing is that your hands feel natural wherever you place them.

• Most importantly, before you meditate, release any preconceived notions or expectations you have for your meditation practice. Don´t try to make yourself feel something; don´t obsess about getting it right or clearing your mind of thoughts. Meditation should come naturally but it does take practice to achieve the results you desire.

So many people are hesitant to meditate because they have preconceived notions about what meditation means. Many people are also ineffective mediators because they have certain beliefs about what it should be. Meditation isn´t just for Buddhist monks, older women and granola eating hippies.

Meditation is for anyone who wants to find some inner peace and a few moments of relaxation and calm in an otherwise stressful world. When meditation is looked at from this perspective it seems to be universally desirable.

Meditation does not mean you consciously blank your mind to all thoughts. As you focus on your practice, hear the rhythm of your breathing and feel the inner peace. The focus of your brain will turn towards calm and inner peace. The quieting of your mind comes not from a conscious effort but as an effect of your practice.

Meditation does not mean you will experience visions or see sugar plum fairies dancing through your mind. Some meditation does produce images but most simply quiets the mind. Meditation may seem intimidating but it isn´t. It can be learned and practiced by anyone. Meditation does take dedication to reach its most effective outcomes.

How to Meditate

The art of meditation is a very powerful skill to have when you are dealing with depression problems. Depression problems may have resulted from a high level of stress and knowing how to meditate properly can reduce the stress levels significantly. Not only will meditation help with managing stress that results from depression problems but it can help build willpower and confidence and be used to maintain your mind and body in good emotional and physical health. If you would like to learn this skill, you would most likely want to get results as quickly as possible… how about within 30 days? Surprisingly, this is actually an ample amount of time required to master the following steps. This article will give you a rock-hard map to learning how to meditate in simply a month…

How to Meditate Like a Master within One Month

Days 1-5
During the first five days, you will start to become conscious of what you are thinking about. All you have to do in this stage is simply sit on the floor with your legs crossed and note whatever thoughts arbitrarily come into your mind. Things that triggered your depression problems will definitely cross your mind. Don’t try to concentrate on any of these thoughts or direct your attention to any of these things. Merely observe and be conscious of the random thoughts in your mind. Don’t analyze or try to suppress these thoughts for this is only the first stage of developing your meditation skill.

Days 6-10
In the second five days, you will train your mind and body to knowing the hypnogic state, which is simply the state between dreaming and sleeping. This state is like the one employed during self hypnosis. To achieve this, lie down on your back and hold one of your arms at a 90 degree angle with the rest of your body. By doing this, you can keep yourself awake as your arm will fall when right before you nod off. Also, you will keep observing your thoughts that come into your mind like the first five days. During this second stage, you may begin to experience “sleep paralysis” when you wake up at night.

While sleep paralysis can be frightening, you must remember that this is merely your physical body asleep while you are awake and conscious. Soon, it will pass as you advance into the next few steps in learning how to meditate…

Days 11-20
Now in the next 10 days, you will work on eliminating random thoughts that pop into your head. You can do this by saying a thought out loud when it goes into your head like this:

"I'm thinking about checking my email"

"I'm thinking about watering my lawn"

"I'm thinking about what I'm going to say to my boss at the meeting"

Once you do this, you’ll see that thoughts especially bothersome ones from depression problems will quickly disappear from your consciousness as soon as you acknowledge them. Also during these 10 days, you will continue to lie on your bed with your arm up to keep you from dozing off to sleep. At the end of this stage, you will be prepared to complete the final step of meditation…

Days 21-30
In the final stage of meditation, you will perfect the skill of remaining in the hypnogic state and clear any thoughts that come into your mind. Your sole objective is to be in a state of complete calmness in mind, body, and spirit. If you notice any thoughts intruding into your mind, follow the procedure in the third stage of meditation. By the end of this period, you will finally master the skill of meditation and you will observe the ability to sleep more soundly, have lower stress levels, and more focused willpower and better concentration.

Practice these steps to learning meditation today and in 30 days you will teach yourself this valuable skill to handle your depression problems.

5 Tips to Learn How to Meditate

So you have decided that you want to meditate and now you are ready to get started. Excellent; you are now on a path that will lead to a much healthier state of mind and life.

Now that you have decided to meditate, there are a few general guidelines that will help facilitate your efforts. These guidelines are applicable regardless of the specific meditation technique that you are using (i.e. Zen, Vipassana, Mantra, etc.).

To get you started on your meditation practice, I've made a list of the top 5 tips you will need to learn:

1. The first thing that you will want to do when you begin to meditate is to find a good place at which to do it. This is a key factor that affects everything else you hope to accomplish and do as you meditate. The place should be clean. Dirty and unclean environments detract from ones concentration; as well as promote a sense of unease in the mind. In fact, you should make the habit of being clean yourself by bathing before you meditate. A clean body and area has a positive and direct correlation to the mind.

2. Second, you want to make sure that no one interrupts you while you meditate. This is also a very important factor. When you meditate, you are focusing and concentrating on the matter at hand and this requires your entire attention. Constant interruptions will not allow you to attain a state of awareness that you are attempting to reach. In order to achieve this, you should take every possible precaution to prevent interruptions before you meditate. This can include telling everyone around not to disturb you and posting "do not disturb" signs.

3. Third, the next step is to find a comfortable position to meditate in. Remember, meditation is not just about the mind, but also establishing stronger bonds of understanding and control with the body as well. As such, it is important that we are comfortable when we begin to meditate. Now, some meditation techniques call for specific positions such as the lotus position in Zen meditation. However, generally speaking, it doesn't really matter how or where you sit, just so long as you are comfortable. You can sit in a chair, on your bed, or in your car.

4. Fourth, the next step is to develop good breathing, relaxation, and contraction habits. These three areas are a part of the yoga meditation aides and are key ingredients to incorporate in your practice as you meditate.

* Deep breathing involves developing a habit of learning to breathe deeply through the nose and not your mouth. Breathing is a key aspect to life (obviously) and how we breathe plays an important role in our overall health and mental condition.

* Deep relaxation is important in that it allows our minds and bodies to attain rest from the otherwise exhaustive pursuits of life. Without relaxation, we become tired and worn out. There are specific techniques, such as Shava Asana, that can help achieve relaxation.

* Deep contraction is all about moving your body. More accurately it involves concentrated stretching and strengthening exercises. These are specific exercises, like yoga. We are working for a sound body with this factor.

5. Finally, as you begin to meditate, have patience. We know that there are many benefits to meditation. But these things don't happen overnight. Meditation is a marathon and not a sprint. As such, the process is going to take time to master. You should meditate without really expecting anything to happen. That may sound difficult, but this is the approach you should take. Just meditate and understanding will come as you continue to meditate.

Chakras 101

The chakras are different coloured energy centres that originate from seven different points in our body. Chakra is a Sanskrit (East Indian) word that means "Wheel". For millennia the chakras have been visualized as round balls, blossoms or spheres of light that can open, close, darken, brighten and spin! The location of each of the seven chakras represents a different aspect of human experience. Our emotions, ability to connect with others and physical health are thought to be reflected in the condition of each chakra.

Seeing your own chakras requires mental focus and powers of meditation. Remember these are imaginary entities that were invented by great mystics thousands of years before medical technology. The manipulation of these spheres or wheels of light, particularly the brightening and opening of them is thought, by many, to relieve a variety of ailments.

There are seven main chakra centres in the human body and the correspond with the seven colours of the rainbow or light spectrum:

The Red Chakra, also often referred to as the Root, First or Base chakra is at the base of the trunk of the body and is thought to correspond to the sex drive and to primal drives such as the desire to procreate, survive and destroy. This is the chakra to work on if you are having troubles with your health.

The Orange Chakra, sometimes called the Second, Sexual or Spleen chakra is in the abdomen and relates to the lower digestive organs. When functioning well, the chakras are thought to be a conduit for the constant flow of energy through out our bodies. If these chakras are blocked, slowed in their spinning, darkened or not working, then you can correct this imbalance by imagining them being cleared from negative energies such as resentment, fear or trauma. Tuning up your chakras can make an enormous difference to your sense of well-being in general as they conduct the natural flow of energy through our bodies. Chakras that are blocked are thought to cause physical disease and emotional and spiritual dis-ease. Common blockages are negative emotions, the desire to hurt, being emotionally hurt, and the holding on to of fears and resentment and sometimes past life issues. The chakras interact with each other in a constant dancing of the spheres that extends outside our bodies. What does 1st chakra energy feel like? It's the kind of emotion that you experience when you listen to our national anthem or participate in the birth of a child. It's that touchy feely energy of belonging to something or someone larger than yourself that evokes a sense of pride and belonging.

To gain insight and sensitivity about our 1st chakra, it is helpful to examine our family and societal beliefs and traditions to determine if they are in sync with the way we currently live our life. If they are not then we need to see how best to address these inconsistencies so that this chakra remains in balance.

The Second Chakra

The 2nd chakra is located in the belly area, about 2" below our belly button. This chakra is all about personal relationships, power, sex and money - everything we own.

The organs associated with the 2nd charka include our sex organs (uterus, ovaries, and pelvis), large intestine and bladder.

While the 1st chakra is about being part of the group, the 2nd chakra is about forming relationships with those who support us. It is also about releasing the people in our lives that stunt and inhibit our growth.

When our energy is not flowing in this area of our body, gynecological problems may result, including fibroids, diseases of the ovaries and other pelvic disorders.

The Third Chakra

The 3rd chakra builds on the first two chakras and is about our sense of security, self esteem and ability to make decisions for ourselves. The strength of the 3rd chakra directly affects our ability to project our will into manifestation.

This chakra is located in the belly at the Solar Plexus - in the pit of our stomach. It is our core and where our gut instincts originate. Organs associated with the 3rd chakra include the abdomen, stomach, kidney and adrenals.

Blocked energy in the 3rd chakra will often result in disorders of the stomach. Fear of taking risks as well as confronting others are common signs of 3rd chakra imbalance.

It is not just the shape of the body or our skin that undergoes change, it is the organs, hair and nails - our physical appearance is constantly changing - naturally or unnaturally - if you observe the many different types of hair colour that are around.

However, in order for these natural changes to keep on happening and indeed for the physical body to stay alive it needs supplies from 3 specific sources of nourishment:

1. Food to digest

2. Air to Breath

3. Vitality to absorb and breath in the above

Without the vitality, the first 2 would be meaningless. This vitality is essentially a force of energy and it exists upon all the Planes of Existence. In the physical plane, this vitality is filtered through the etheric double and in more detail through the energy centers called the chakras or force centres. These centres can be clearly seen by clairvoyants as saucer-like depressions or vortices on the surface of the etheric double.

In the 'undeveloped' human they may appear to be only small circles barely more than a few inches in diameter, which only faintly glow. In a developed being, they would appear as vivid vortices of energy which are quite large and they may blaze like a mini sun. These wheels are perpetually rotating and into their hub flows the energy from the higher worlds, the life force issuing from the Solar Logos. The force from the Solar Logos is sevenfold in nature and all seven forms operate in each of the chakra centres. There are seven main chakras and the energy from the Solar Logos feeds them with Its vitality. The chakras roughly correspond to physical organs but they actually show themselves on the surface of the etheric double, so appear as though they extend beyond our physical bodies. Balance Your Chakras With Self-Hypnosis

This week I attended a workshop led by an amazing man from the far east whose work I have followed for a long time.

I played the role of needlessly excited student throughout the workshop: If he wanted a volunteer, I put my hand up and shouted "Me! Me! Me!" I sat at the front of the class, I went to speak to him during the breaks and I agreed with most things that were being said... Basically, I regressed to an 8-15 year old at various times throughout the event!

This I put down to the fact that I love learning and I was in awe of this particular man and his work. He actually said very little to me. The things he did say made a massive impact on me and it showed me that sometimes the smallest of things can have the most profound effect on us - observations especially.

He observed that I was very energetic and he also observed that I was a wee bit drained of energy; "Well, let's get that replenished in the first meditation of the evening..." he said. I want to share with you a combination of that meditation and some self-hypnosis for some great effect.

This technique is a step by step guide that combines self-hypnosis and some self-inner guidance with the idea of balancing your chakras. Now it is not really important to know what your chakras are - in brief, they are regarded as central energy points in your body in Eastern medicine and philosophy. They have certain colours associated with them that are going to be integrated into this technique within your mind.

I know it made me feel wonderfully energised, refreshed and very well balanced afterwards.

Step One: Find a place where you are not going to be disturbed for a while and allow you eyelids to close. Imagine that as you close your eyelids, they melt and relax into your face and begin to send relaxation throughout your body.

Create some expectation; we all know how hypnotic expectation is, don't we? Tell yourself that in a few moments you’re going to enter one of the most relaxed states that you’ve ever known.

You can take yourself into self-hypnosis (if you don't know how, go get my book) or use any good meditation technique or relaxation strategy that you know. Take a few moments to focus on your breathing and engage in the moment. Notice what you are thinking and feeling.

Step Two: Using your imagination, begin now to sense that you are floating on a soft cloud, almost like it is a mist that is gentle, soft, and completely supportive. It melds and moulds itself to the exact contours of your body, imagine that you settle deeply into it and take sufficient time to really develop that comfort.

Imagine that the cloud is a beautiful, soft yet strong, strawberry red colour.

Imagine that the wonderful red mist gently envelops your entire being. Sense that it is bathing you in a soft and gentle relaxation.

Let that red mist move throughout your body, drawing away anything unwanted, leaving you in a soft, peaceful state. Imagine that red colour in each and every cell of your being. Let that red mist sink into the very depths of the centre of your mind.

Spread that red all through you, reaching all the way down to the tips of your toes, all the way down to the very tips of your fingers and feel yourself in harmony with this natural red colour as your body is feeling more and more balanced and alive.

Let the red mist focus around the base of your spine. Maybe you can even imagine that your spine vibrates in harmony with red and the entire area of the lower back and spine goes into a total relaxation. When you really engage in doing this, you can create some magnificent sensations.

Imagine and sense that you are in tune with nature and all of nature is in tune with you. Breathe that red, gentle mist in and now allow a little, tiny red bird to gently glide around you, wrapping your body in a soft, red, blanket of balance and relaxation.

If you are not a fan of birds, then you can of course imagine anything else - angels or a loved one, or that the blanket wraps itself around you unaided. Choose what suits you personally.

Step Three: Having done this inside your mind, next up imagine floating on a soft, almost peach-like orange colour. Allow yourself to be in harmony with this orange (just as you were with the red) and right around the area of your abdomen there is an energy centre that vibrates with this colour of orange.

Allow this orange mist to bring this gentle softness, this natural awareness to your body and feel it almost like a sponge, absorbing and releasing anything you might need to let go of, bathing you in a soft mist of peace, relaxation and comfort. Feel and sense anything unwanted being absorbed into the mist from all the parts of your body.

Allow this orange to penetrate your body and give you peace and comfort, feel the freedom as you do this. Feel yourself relaxing more and more as this orange mist flows in and around all the parts of your abdomen. Then in whatever way you feel resonates with you the best, imagine a little orange ribbon gliding gently and gently carrying the mist over and around and through your body, your body wonderfully at ease and relaxed. Take enough time to really enjoy doing this.

Step Four: Now in your mind’s eye imagine yourself floating on a yellow mist, the soft colour of lemon, beautiful, lemon yellow right there in the centre of your chest.

Take all the time you need to really be in harmony with this colour of yellow and the middle area of your body and the centre of your chest is relaxing more and more as you can imagine that area has an energy centre that vibrates to the colour yellow. Breathe in the soft yellow mist, the comfort of that gentle softness with each breath that you take really let it flow throughout you now, let it move through your entire being.

Allow your body to be at peace as the yellow mist eases and soothes your body.

Imagine that all of nature is in tune with this yellow and you are in tune with nature. Feel the freedom of the atmosphere that you are creating in your mind.

As we did previously, now imagine a silky ribbon of yellow, floating gently around you, wrapping the mist of balance and awareness around your body with a blanket of gentle, soothing tranquillity.

Breathe in the yellow velvety mist as it bathes you in a sea of peace, taking all the time you need to sense deep comfort.

Step Five: Then imagine that you are floating on a green mist, actually begin to see, sense, imagine and feel a green mist all around you, absorbing into your skin, feeling immersed, enveloped in that green mist, a beautiful colour of green. Green as lush grass.

And as you breathe in this soft, green mist the gentle softness is all around your heart, and you feel your heart begin to relax all around that area, all the way up to the area of your throat. As you relax imagine that you can feel your heart opening, opening and connecting with the world around you.

Imagine that your chest and your heart area vibrates now to the colour of green and feel the peace and the relaxation that that brings. Begin to feel this green bringing the relaxation all through your body, gentle softness, this wonderful green colour.

Anything unwanted around your heart is being absorbed by that green, floating it away, drawing it away, leaving only peace, balance and comfort in its place. Each time that you breathe in the mist of the green, imagine and feel your body becoming even more limp, loose, safe, and comfortable.

Feel the green cleansing and freeing you, allowing your body to work in perfect harmony with nature just as it was intended to do. Then imagine a soft, silky green ribbon, floating around you... as with the previous steps.

Step Six: Ok, so now just imagine yourself floating on a mist of blue. Just engage your mind in that idea that you are gently floating peacefully on this beautiful blue colour. While doing that, allow your throat and your neck relax all the way up through the back of your neck and your throat and your neck are feeling calm and relaxed.

Breathe in the blue air and feel it drifting and floating throughout your entire body. Allow this gentle blue mist to draw up and soften and balance all the muscles in your body. Think that your body is at peace as the blue mist works through it and soothes it.

Imagine that the blue mist carries takes away anything unwanted, leaving only comfort, ease and safety.

Once again, imagine that all of nature is in tune with blue and you are in tune with nature. Your body has been perfectly designed to work in harmony with nature and so let all the natural processes of just 'being' occur for you while you are doing this.

Feel the comfort increasing within you as the blue mist fills every cell and every muscle and now imagine that silky ribbon, floating around your body, gently touching your body with a blanket of blue mist, bathing you in a sea of total relaxation.

Step Seven: Finally, imagine yourself floating on a misty cloud of violet, a beautiful violet-rosy colour, a very soft combination that creates a nice lavender colour.

Imagine that the soft colour of violet, that very soft purple, penetrates your body and allow yourself to go deeper into your own mind. Imagine that you draw this purple into your body. Feel that beautiful colour bringing you serenity and peace.

Ensure that you feel safe and comfortable on this beautiful soft purple mist. Tune into nature, tune into this natural feeling with this violet colour you are in and begin to breathe in the gentle violet mist. Breathe it in and feel the muscles of your mind working in harmony with the way that nature intended.

Feel yourself totally relaxed, feeling the wonderful things that are happening within your body at this moment.

Step Eight: Now inside your mind, imagine a combination of all the colours you have been thinking of throughout this technique form a rainbow and surround you. Imagine that they combine to form a beautiful white light, purifying, cleansing, filling your body and your mind with the glorious sense of comfort, rejuvenation and balance.

Right there at the top of your head, bring that light in, a beautiful clear bright light, floating all the way down through your entire body, filling all the spaces between all of the cells, bringing you the comfort of knowing that you deserve to have the experience of a peaceful, balanced, energised life.

Step Nine: Now allow yourself to be completely immersed in this beautiful rainbow of the energy of life, you allow your mind and your body to be very receptive, very open to creating the experience that you want and that you deserve.

Bask in the colours for as long as you like.

Step Ten: When you are ready, you can allow yourself to come back to the awareness of the place that you are in. Tell yourself that when you open your eyes, you feel very balanced, very balanced and energized. Then open your eyes, wiggle your fingers and toes, reacquaint with your surroundings and enjoy being more balanced and refreshed.

Take some time to really balance yourself and get recharged in this way - it is so lovely to do so.

We get our grounding or rooting primarily from our family and the society we belong to. This may include being part of a religions or other group. Here we see family traditions and inclusion in the group as being important in maintaining balance in the 1st chakra. When things are out of balance, From a health standpoint, it is not uncommon to see physical ailments related to this chakra.

What does 1st chakra energy feel like? It's the kind of emotion that you experience when you listen to our national anthem or participate in the birth of a child. It's that touchy feely energy of belonging to something or someone larger than yourself that evokes a sense of pride and belonging.

To gain insight and sensitivity about our 1st chakra, it is helpful to examine our family and societal beliefs and traditions to determine if they are in sync with the way we currently live our life. If they are not then we need to see how best to address these inconsistencies so that this chakra remains in balance.

The Second Chakra

The 2nd chakra is located in the belly area, about 2" below our belly button. This chakra is all about personal relationships, power, sex and money - everything we own.

The organs associated with the 2nd charka include our sex organs (uterus, ovaries, and pelvis), large intestine and bladder.

While the 1st chakra is about being part of the group, the 2nd chakra is about forming relationships with those who support us. It is also about releasing the people in our lives that stunt and inhibit our growth.

When our energy is not flowing in this area of our body, gynecological problems may result, including fibroids, diseases of the ovaries and other pelvic disorders.

The Third Chakra

The 3rd chakra builds on the first two chakras and is about our sense of security, self esteem and ability to make decisions for ourselves. The strength of the 3rd chakra directly affects our ability to project our will into manifestation.

This chakra is located in the belly at the Solar Plexus - in the pit of our stomach. It is our core and where our gut instincts originate. Organs associated with the 3rd chakra include the abdomen, stomach, kidney and adrenals.

Blocked energy in the 3rd chakra will often result in disorders of the stomach. Fear of taking risks as well as confronting others are common signs of 3rd chakra imbalance.

Our first three chakras are considered to be our primal chakras - they help to keep us alive and are connected to our daily existence. Understanding this link and examining our own lives in relation to these energy centers or chakras is critical to our overall health and well being.

Theta Healing And Bodytalk

For Your Health, Well-Being And Personal Development?

Short Answer: They provide fast and lasting results with any disease, condition or problem that you may have.

Longer Answer: In my opinion and experience Theta Healing and BodyTalk are the fastest and most effective healing modalities available on the planet today

This may seem a high claim, so let me explain the reasons behind this statement

Before I do let me say that I have nothing against other therapies or modalities, and that I believe that every one of them has a place and is effective and has its use

For example there is no substitute for a good massage, or a juice fast! And different people are attracted to different therapies.

In Theta Healing we respect all modalities, because all can heal, but the research and experiences, both personal and of other people have convinced me that the speed and depth of results with these modalities is astounding.

On to the reasons.

1) Theta Healing works with Source/Creator of All That Is/God/Goddess.

In Theta Healing God does the healing, and that's why healings can be instantaneous.

Vianna Stibal, the founder of Theta Healing healed instantly from a lymphoma that had destroyed her leg.

Lots of people around the world have been healed by God with Theta Healing and you can see some testimonials in a feature on Fox News that you can easily find on youtube.

Also if something isn't clear and you need help you can always ask God!

2) Beliefs create our reality, are formed by our perception of the world and the people in it and shape it and in so doing can cause health or disease.

If there are beliefs blocking the healing, the healing won't be instantaneous, but the beliefs can be cleared quickly and at a deep level, because as the name of the modality suggests a Theta wave is used both in the practitioner and the client

This is why the Theta Brainwave is important to healing:

Most of our beliefs are created when we are children, even though they can show up much later as disease, emotional problems, etc.

When we are children, up to at least 7 years of age we are in a Theta Brainwave most of the time

People meditate for hours sometimes to get to Theta, while most people above 7 years of age experience Theta just when they're sleeping and dreaming

The theta brainwave is used also in hypnosis, and that is why anything said to a child is literally downloaded into the subconscious

If you say to your child "you'll never amount to anything" this goes straight into their subconscious. (How they perceive it and whether the will accept it depends on their basic personality and on previous belief systems)

Every condition has a set of beliefs that keep it in place even if other factors like toxins or microbes are present, since why would you attract them in the first place?

Changing the beliefs = Heal

Healing is not limited to physical healing, chronic anger is a sickness, poverty is a sickness, disconnection from Creator is one of the biggest ones

Working to change beliefs from a waking beta state is like trying to move a 10000 pound rock with one hand

You can work on beliefs from an alpha state, but my experience has shown that they can resurface after some time

The alpha wave is very soothing and relaxing, and takes away pain, but it's usually not deep enough to change the subconscious with a lasting effect

This is why hypnosis has such a great record when it comes to results, it puts you in a Theta state

There are lots of differences between Theta Healing and hypnosis though:

Theta Healing lets God come into the equation and doing so it's like plugging in a limitless power source that does the healing and the change of beliefs from a deep level.

Theta Healing is faster than hypnosis, it can literally takes seconds to get into Theta and change a belief

You can download feelings and Creator's Perspective, Understanding and Definition, which brings me to the third point

3) If you have never felt a feeling you can download it from Creator, and you can also download Creator's Perspective, Understanding and Definition of anything

There are some feelings you may never have experienced in your life, and most never in the true form, for they are distorted by our beliefs and perceptions.

For example, your idea of feeling happy may be spending a day with your family, while for somebody else may be spending a day alone.

Happiness for someone may mean a tv dinner and a movie, or a walk in nature.

But what is the pure definition of happiness? And what does it really feel like?

Who can have a purest perspective of anything than God? Downloading feelings and perspectives from Creator allows us to feel the happiness, the joy, or even subtler and more precise things like what it feels like to feel the approval and love of a mother.

Some feelings are sometimes needed in order to heal. For instance, one of the first things that are done in Theta Healing are standard downloads of feelings of unconditional love.

Unconditional love is the energy of the universe, and you would be blocking the healing if you didn't know what unconditional love feels like, that you know how to receive it and that you deserve it and you're worthy of it.

More specific downloads are personal to each person and to each condition.

4) Theta Healing and BodyTalk can tackle other variables contributing to the illness

Cancer because of a virus can be caused by belief systems that have allowed it the virus to be drawn to you in the first place and that have allowed your body to become vulnerable to it, but sometimes your body prefers you to work at a different, more physical level too.

This is where BodyTalk comes in. BodyTalk works with the Innate Wisdom of the body, which in my view is another way of saying our higher self or an aspect of our soul which is more directly connected to All That Is/Creator/God/Goddess/Source

The body when in balance is like a beautiful symphony, but if an organ is playing out of synch there can be dis-ease.

In the BodyTalk System there is a protocol, with things like microbes, toxins, organs, meridians and environmental.

With a neuromuscular feedback all the different factors like these are tested and linked together, to form an equation of factors that the brain and the rest of the body can readily understand and correct.

The detail to which BodyTalk can go is limited only by the knowledge of the practitioner. It differs greatly from Kinesiology for many reasons:

a) The testing is different and more subtle and much deeper;

In kinesiology the testing is to find out if the subconscious of the person believes a certain statement or not

In BodyTalk the testing is to find out what is needed to heal and in which priority they are needed, and the questions are asked to a deeper part of ourselves

b) As said above the detail depends only by the knowledge of the BodyTalk practitioner, the protocol and the possibilities are endless

Sometimes it's important to be specific to get quick and lasting results, sometimes Innate Wisdom wants you to be extra specific

For example, if the liver is the priority to be treated the detail can range from the cells of the liver to a specific duct, from one aspect of the consciousness of the liver, like organization, to an imbalance in the Chinese elements in the liver, like wood and fire

c) BodyTalk works with priorities

The order of treatment is important and it is something often overlooked in many therapies.

If you decide that you want to do a liver cleanse but your elimination system is not ready to receive the toxins coming from the liver you may have what is usually called a healing crisis. Better first to get prepared before dumping waste!

A healing crisis is not something unavoidable or necessary; most of the time it's just the result of not following the right order of treatment

In BodyTalk we ask the Innate Wisdom what the right priority is, and most of the time a session can be general and address other complaints of the client as well as or before addressing the major complaint, to get the environment of the body ready.

In Theta Healing, although we almost always work with a specific problem of the client, during a sessions we can ask God what to do, what to change, and what the cause of something is and we can quickly correct it.

Theta Healing can be used to treat different contributing factors too

There are ways to clear toxins, mold, viruses, and balance the heavy metals in the body

Sometimes spirits can be a factor, draining your energy like parasites

Did you know there are spirit attracted to people with particular addiction, like alcohol or drugs, because of the vibration they emit, and that these spirits can trasmit thoughts and vibrations to the person making it much more difficult to quit?

You also could have lost a fragment of your soul, a part of your essential energy, in a heated discussion or to a person you now miss constantly and this can make it more difficult if not impossible to heal as you should

5) Theta Healing and Bodytalk are really vast in their applications

Similar to reason 4, with Theta Healing there are so many different things that can be done, for instance, you can talk with our Guardian Angel, or your ancestors.

You can use Theta Healing and BodyTalk to heal your pet or your plants, and you can use Theta Healing to clear and program objects with specific feelings.

It goes without saying that you can use especially Theta Healing to improve your spiritual life and to live better, and also to manifest what you want in life, for instance money or finding your soulmate.

Are there times where I want to take a nice detox tea as well as getting a session? Yes

Are there times when I prefer to take an ibuprofen pill instead of immediately digging for the cause? Yes, especially if there's no Theta Healer I can reach, since I find it more difficult to work on myself when in pain!

Do I like some Color Therapy, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Quantum Touch or you name it? Yes, sometimes I like having a session of another therapy, they make me feel good and they fulfill a particular need.

It's great to fall asleep or relax while doing Reiki to yourself!

Would I entrust my health and healing to any other therapy other than Theta Healing and BodyTalk? Definitely No
